Reading the site

You do not need an account to read our guides. This version does not include advertising trackers, an analytics service or public registration. Your hosting provider may retain ordinary web-server and security logs, including requested addresses and IP addresses, under its own configuration.

Admin sessions

The private administration area uses a session cookie to keep authorised editors signed in and protect forms. Login throttling stores keyed hashes of connection addresses for a limited period. Application logs avoid passwords and session tokens.

Search

Search terms are processed to return relevant pages. Optional search logging is disabled. When enabled, the application records the query, result count and date, without attaching an account or IP address, and removes old entries after 30 days through maintenance or subsequent search activity.

Images and external links

Server logos may load from MoparScape or external image hosts. Those requests share ordinary connection information with the image provider. Clicking an external link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.
