Server Types

What Is a 317 RSPS?

Understand the 317 label without assuming that every server using it has identical content.

The label is a starting point

In listings, “317” commonly identifies a client-related base rather than a promise that every detail matches an original build. A project can retain that label while modifying interfaces, assets and gameplay.

Read the number alongside the project’s own content description. It does not establish whether a particular item, map or combat behaviour is present.

Ask about the intended experience

A recreation and a heavily modified server can use similar technical labels. Ask whether the project aims to reproduce a specific reference or deliberately mixes content. Check how the client, cache and server implementation fit that aim.

If you want to compare original data, identify the exact cache or client artifact being discussed. Our revision 317 reference explains the questions to keep separate.

Try the parts you care about

Use a first session to test your intended activity. Observe how progression, controls and community interaction work together. A polished screenshot cannot show those relationships.

Compare several candidates using the same questions. If you know what you want from your next session, it becomes easier to choose between an ambitious feature list and a narrower experience that already works well for you.
